Kelshi Village

Kelshi village is in Dapoli taluka, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra state in Western India. It has been known for beautiful, clean and serene beaches, well-maintained famous temples and couple of pre-Shiv-kalin forts.

Kelshi Z P Primary School Project

Maaydesh Foundation’s Arun Joshi was invited by the Gram panchayat (elected village committee), Kelshi Primary school principal, and the school parents committee to modify and expand the current school building. The new school design will include an indoor auditorium, a new kitchen, New bathrooms for boys and girls, a new staff room, a new principal’s office, and a guest welcome room. Maadesh Foundation is also providing better outdoor sports facilities and an outdoor stage for bigger programs. We intend to build a new secured compound wall, gates, with lights, and a security system. New computer lab will hold ten computers and facility to train students on Robotics and AI.

Maaydesh Foundation has gotten the necessary permissions from the education district head for this new school design and all the facilities. Now, the added classrooms can hold all 120 students of this primary school.

Groundbreaking and Puja for School Project

On Sept 6, 2025 School Staff, Parent committee and Maaydesh Foundation’s Arun Joshi performed groundbreaking Puja to bless the new construction.
