Kelshi Village

Kelshi village is in Dapoli taluka, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra state in Western India. It has been known for beautiful, clean and serene beaches, well-maintained famous temples and couple of pre-Shiv-kalin forts.

Government Primary School Project

Maaydesh Foundation’s Arun Joshi was invited by the Gram panchayat (elected village committee), the Primary school principal, and the school parents committee to modify and expand the current school building. The new school design will include indoor auditorium, a new kitchen, bathrooms, a new staff room, a new principal’s office, and a guest welcome room. Maadesh Foundation is also providing better outdoor sports facilities and an outdoor stage for bigger programs. We intend to build a new secured compound wall, gates, with lights, and a security system.

Maaydesh Foundation has gotten necessary permissions from the education district head for this new school design and all the facilities. Now, the added classrooms can hold all 120 students of this primary school.
